How to Catch Any Fish – Piranha
Piranha need little introduction as they are a popular subject in movies and on TV. Their ferocious reputation is somewhat warranted. They have a nasty set of sharp teeth that can inflict a serious bite, and when they are taken out of the water their eyes often turn red and they sometimes emit a distinct growling sound (I’m totally serious).Salmon Fishing on the River Tweed
Scotland is recognised as a world-class destination for salmon fishing and amongst the many rivers, the Tweed is certainly the most prolific. Stretching over 90 miles through the Scottish Borders, rising at Tweed’s Well, near the Lanarkshire boundary, the Tweed flows east to join the North Sea at Berwick upon Tweed.Inflatable Kayak Air Pressure Significance
Inflatable Kayak air pressure can play a significant roll in preserving both the usable life of a kayak as well as the user’s safety and should be well addressed if you own or use an inflatable kayak or canoe. Air pressure will change according to temperatures governed by weather conditions for all inflatable kayak and canoe types. For example, in very warm conditions the inner air pressure of any inflatable product will rise with the opposite occurring in colder conditions.5 Practical Gift Ideas for the Fisherman
If there is a fisherman in your family that you have to buy a gift for, consider this list as these things are practical and useful and won’t break the back. I am sure you will get a favorable reaction to your gift.2012 Halibut Limits for Kodiak Alaska
The North Pacific Halibut Commission has decided to keep the present limits for guided and un-guided recreational anglers the same for 2012 as they were in 2011. Those limits allow anglers in Area 3C, the south central Alaska zone to catch and retain a daily limit two halibut of any size. Guests that will be coming to Alaska’s Kodiak Island Resort will be pleased to know that halibut limits will be the same in 2012 as years past. In other areas of Alaska the North Pacific Halibut Commission in concert with the National Oceanic and Atomspheric Administration have decided not to institute new bag limits in coastal waters around Kodiak. In recent years areas in Southeast Alaska have had halibut bag limits cut in half, from two fish to one. In 2011 NOAA also futher rtestricted southeast Alaska by imposing a maximum size limit of 37″. This is proving to be a very difficult hurdle for lodge owners and charter boat operators in areas around Sitka, Ketchican and Elfin Cove Alaska.
